Ocotal beach is a very picturesque, secluded cove with an interesting combination of darker colored sand and crystal-clear blue ocean. The beach is very safe for swimming and is well known for sports fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. It is also ideal for sea kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. With some spectacular home sites up on the hillsides and a handful of restaurants it has a beach village like feel unlike the more bustling and larger Playas Del Coco which is only 2 miles away.
Liberia International Airport is only 16 miles away.
